Mervyn has been using the Never-way to transport people to the Neverside, feeding on the magic produced by the Never-way. The Thirteenth Floor
When Tom Clarke and Benny Sherwood were investigating a flux of magical energy, Mervyn transported Tom and Lexi to the Neverside. Mervyn was confronted by Benny, Alicia Ferguson, Michael Clarke and Ursula Crowe, making a deal that Ursula would take his place as gatekeeper if they failed to rescue Tom. When Ursula and Benny succeeded in rescuing Tom, Lexi and Varg, the Never-way was destroyed and Mervyn vanished along with it. The Thirteenth Floor
